Natural flu epidemic my ass

Obama wants new gun control laws -- suddenly, an outbreak of highly-publicized shootings occurs.

Obama wants control of the internet -- suddenly, it's found that the electric grid or something like that has been hacked and the Pentagon's F-35 program has been breached.

Obama wants to nationalize health care -- suddenly there's an "epidemic" that can't be stopped, according to the CDC, even though only eight Americans have been confirmed for having the disease.

Now, I believe in coincidence as much as anyone else; and I try not to be too paranoid about conspiracy theories (unlike the Captain). But, things are starting to look just a little TOO convenient for the plans of the chosen one.

L Neil Smith, sci-fi writer, has just made a similar comment on facebook. He's also mentioned the convenience of all these mass shootings at times when politicians are trying to pass gun control legislation.

I agree.

Also, Fox News hasn't called it an epidemic. They call it a pandemic. The word epidemic isn't scary enough any more.

Col., I knew I couldn't be the only one thinking this, especially when I'm usually the last to find out about the conspiracy theories.

I always have trouble truly understanding the difference between epidemic and pandemic. They both mean wide spread, but I guess one is just wider than the other.

I've become so suspicious of everything since hanging out with you, Twc, Smartass and the Captain.

Moxie calls him God Jr.

I'm not big on conspiracy theories. I figure the simplest explanation is usually the most likely.

Tinfoil hat's in the shop.

God, Jr. is probably exactly what he likes.

I know. I'm bad about conspiracy theories lately. But Obama and his charmed life just seem to inspire them.
