Obama's Prolonged Detention Plan

I can't believe this is coming from an ultra liberal MSNBC reporter, but it is. It's scary stuff too. She's calling Obama out about his speech where he said he is planning to "construct a legal regime" to "preventively and indefinitely imprison people because they might commit crimes in the future".

His speech was chilling. I highly doubt that terrorists such as the ones who committed the 9/11 crimes are whom he really intends to "preventively imprison", but even if it is, how is it any different from Guantanamo? Why does he need to construct a prison or "regime" for the people he wants to get rid of indefinitely?

Remember Napolitano's list defining whom the Obama administration considers to be terrorists?

It's different than Gitmo because it isn't Republicans.

Jaded as I am, I expected Bill Clinton with a tan. I am shocked that O'Blama is as bad as he is.

I knew he'd be more dangerous than anything this country has seen in a long time, if ever.

Bill Clinton is a harmless, if slightly misguided, old hippie uncle compared to this bastard.

Mordor DC will be "freedom" (as free as Moscow West will ever get) and the rest of the country will be a prison.

That's pretty much a good estimate, Col Hogan. Already has element of a prison right now.

Yeah but, president Soweto made his speach in front of the case that holds the constitution. That makes everything he said constitutional. Right?

They told us when they encased the Constitution in the hermetically sealed, inert gas filled, bullet proof glass container. that it was to protect that historical document. It should be clear that it was to keep the words of the constitution inprisoned so that they couldn't impede our politicians in their march toward totalitarianism.

Good morning, Cap!

Talking sharp and witty there. You must have slept well and woke up on the right side of the bed today ;-)

I do think you're right, though. Obama thinks if he just stands in front of the Constitution display then it will make everything he says alright. The pathetic thing is that some people will totally buy it.

I usually don't care much for Maddow, but I have to occasionally give her credit. This analysis is exellent. Also, she had easily the most fair interview with Ron Paul that I've seen/heard. And, she's excellent on the L-Word!
