You know what?

Obama is planing to unveil a plan to help troubled homeowners with their payments today.

Uh-huh.

You know...I don't think that if I decided to plead helplessness, saying that I just couldn't make my mortgage payments anymore...I don't think I'd be included in that savior plan of his.

Not that I'm in financial danger or anything, but what if I do lose my job next month? I wonder what would happen if I just stopped making payments on my home? I still think I wouldn't be eligible for his handout. For some reason, I just don't think I'd be in his target audience.

Lol!

Hey, now...I may have a big mouth, but I've got an even bigger frying pan, and I've got good aim too! Heads up, big talker.

I heard a guy say today that he's going to quit paying his mortgage, so that he can get a better interest rate when he gets his loan renegotiated.

Well, Colonel, that's "change we can believe in"...changing people into dishonorable deadbeats and cheats, that is.

Oh hell, who am I kidding? A whole lot of people in this country were deadbeats and cheats anyway. It's just that now it's easier for them to get away with it and justify it to themselves. There's no such thing as right and wrong anymore - just various "options."

You know, I'm going to be refinancing soon too, and I thought about doing something like that. But I just can't. My conscience won't let me. It's a small town bank where I have family that works there and is on the board, so I just can't be a deadbeat. I'd be too embarrassed.
