I would just like to say

...that there's no way in hell I'm taking any kind of vaccine that the government will so conveniently probably come up with for this Frankenstein version of the flu that is so conveniently showing up all over the damn planet all of a sudden. Uh-uh, no way.

I haven't had a flu shot since I was in basic training about forty years ago. I may not have had one even then - I don't recall. I don't think I've ever had the flu more than about once in all that time either. I have had my share of colds though; until I stopped smoking I used to get bronchitis (or whatever) and a cold every Fall or Winter.

Two things: I'm in relatively good health for my age, and I don't come in contact with many people.

I had a flu shot once, but then I've only had the flu once, so I'm not sure if the shot made a difference at all. I tended to get bronchitis and strep throat when traveled 90% of the time for work and talked all day long.

I told my Mom and Dad today to not let their doctors give them any vaccines. They don't come in contact with enough people, other than family, so they shouldn't be at risk for whatever this stuff is the media and government are ginning up.

Hey - so if you don't come in contact with many people, I guess you're one of those extremist-kind of folk that keeps to themselves and that Janet Napolitano warned the country about recently, right?

Hey! Me too! Wheee! :)

I'm hesitant about any vaccine, as well.
