Patrick Swayze

Count me among the fans. His dancing rocked my 13 year old world the night I went to the movies and saw Skatetown USA.

Rest in Peace, Patrick.

Swayze combined the athleticism of Gene Kelly with the grace of Fred Astaire. I thought he and John Travolta should have done a movie together.

The movie "Dirty Dancing" left a bad taste in my mouth for the way it misused Ayn Rand's "The Fountainhead" as a rationale for the story's antagonist being a jerk.

I've never seen "Dirty Dancing", but if there is an Ayn Rand connection, I guess I'll have to take a look.

Trust me when I tell y'all, that the last thing any of us girls were thinking about when watching Dirty Dancing was some Ayn Rand political theory.
